The Nicosia District Volunteerism Coordinative Council was established in 1971 and is the Coordinating Body of the voluntary organisations/NGOs of the Nicosia district.
Its main goal is the coordination, support and development of the voluntary/non-profit organisations of the province.
It is administratively and functionally subordinate to the PVCC and implements the policy of the PVCC based on the relevant legislation.
It is governed by a Steering Committee which is elected by the General Assembly and consists of representatives of the Community Volunteer Councils and local voluntary organizations / NGOs.
